How to select
Fix the mesh aperture, the wire diameter and the panel height and width first, then the post section, the post spacing, the ground fixing and the surface finish. The last answers are whether a topping is carried in the angled head and which standard the perimeter is designed to. Those decisions settle the shop drawing, the packing and the quotation.
The anti-climb Y-post fence is the perimeter line we build when the fence itself has to resist climbing. The welded mesh panel sits down inside the fork of a Y-shaped or peach-shaped post, so there is no top rail running along the line and no flat post cap to take hold of, and the angled head can carry a concertina razor wire, flat-wrap razor wire or barbed wire topping above the mesh. Mesh aperture, wire diameter, panel height and width, post section, post spacing, the ground fixing and the surface finish are all made to the project specification, and no security rating and no certification is claimed for the fence.

01 · Product overview
What the anti-climb Y-post fence is made of
The published build is a welded mesh panel carried in the fork of a Y-shaped or peach-shaped post with an angled head — no top rail and no flat post cap — with an optional concertina razor wire, flat-wrap razor wire or barbed wire topping fixed in the head, and mesh aperture, wire diameter, panel height and width, post section, post spacing, ground fixing and surface finish all made to the project specification.
The Y-post does its work with geometry rather than with extra material. The panel sits down inside the fork of the post, so the fence line has no top rail running along it and no flat cap that a hand can close on. The head is bent out over the line of the fence, which removes the straight, reachable top edge that a climber would otherwise use as a starting point.
The same fork that makes the line hard to climb also carries the topping. Concertina razor wire, flat-wrap razor wire or barbed wire is fixed in the angled head above the mesh, so the wire overhangs the panel instead of sitting on top of it. Because the post and panel build is unchanged whether or not a topping is used, a perimeter can be taken up in stages: erect the fence now and add the topping when the phase or the budget allows. Where the topping is quoted as a line on its own, that line is razor wire.
Everything sized on this fence is made to the project specification — mesh aperture, wire diameter, panel height and width, post section, post spacing, the footing detail and the surface finish. Send the drawing or the standard you follow, with the perimeter length, corners, gates and ground conditions, and each of those is confirmed in writing against it.
The range of use is high-security boundaries: airports and airfields, prisons and detention facilities, substations and switchyards, fuel depots, warehouses and logistics yards, water treatment sites and industrial plants. We claim no security rating and no certification for this fence; whether a perimeter satisfies a given requirement is decided by the buyer's design and by the standard the project is built to. Where the panel is welded into a frame and carried on posts instead of dropped into a Y-fork, framed mesh fence is the build we quote alongside this one.

03 · Features
Why the anti-climb Y-post fence is specified
- Structure: welded mesh panel carried in the fork of a Y-shaped (or peach-shaped) post, with no top rail along the fence line.
- Anti-climb detail: the post head is angled out so there is no flat, reachable ledge or cap at the top of the fence.
- Topping options: concertina razor wire, flat-wrap razor wire or barbed wire fixed in the angled post head; the same build works with or without it.
- Applications: airports and airfields, prisons and detention facilities, substations and switchyards, fuel depots, warehouses and logistics yards, water treatment sites and industrial plants.
- Mesh aperture, wire diameter and panel height: made to the project specification.
- Post section, post spacing and ground fixing: made to the project specification and confirmed on the shop drawing.
- Surface finish: made to the project specification and chosen for the environment along the run.
- No security rating and no certification is claimed for this fence; the buyer's design and the project standard govern whether the perimeter is accepted.
04 · Made to your drawing
Made to the project specification
Send us the drawing or the standard you follow and we confirm in writing what we can supply against it. For an anti-climb line, that means the mesh aperture, the wire diameter, the panel height and width, the post section and spacing, the ground fixing, the surface finish and whether a topping is carried — and the security or fence standard the project follows.
What settles this specification
The mesh aperture and wire, the panel height, the post section and spacing, the ground fixing, the finish and whether a topping is carried. Nothing here is claimed as a security rating: the project standard governs.

06 · Questions buyers ask
Anti-Climb Y-Post Fence — frequent questions
Every answer below repeats a figure or a term already published on this page; nothing is added to the specification here.
How is the fence fixed to the ground?
Post fixing to the ground is made to the project specification. Send us the drawing or the standard you follow, and the footing or base detail is confirmed on the shop drawing.
What is made to my drawing?
Mesh aperture, wire diameter, panel height and width, post section, post spacing, post fixing to the ground and surface finish are each made to the project specification. Send the drawing or the standard you follow and we confirm in writing what we can supply against it.
Can a topping be added now or later?
Topping is optional: concertina razor wire, flat-wrap razor wire or barbed wire is fixed in the angled post head above the mesh, and blade dimensions and coil diameter are confirmed per order. The post and panel build is unchanged whether or not a topping is used, so a perimeter can be erected now and topped when the phase or the budget allows.
Is there a published price, MOQ or lead time?
Price: quoted per order — FOB Wuhan / Shanghai, CIF or DDP. MOQ, loading plan and lead time are confirmed per specification — send the drawing, quantity and destination port and we reply within one business day. The documentation is a proforma invoice, commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin as required.
Is a security rating or a certification claimed for this fence?
None claimed. This page states structure and application only; no security rating and no certification is claimed for this fence. The standard the project is designed to, and the buyer's acceptance of it, govern the perimeter.
